GRG Executive Search advises the world's most ambitious businesses

Our client base defies easy categorization.

We are instructed by venture-funded start-ups through to established blue chip businesses.

We are proud of this diversity.  It is the natural by-product of interesting people doing interesting things... and we know a lot of interesting people.

All of our clients share two things: ambition and a conviction that hiring great talent will unlock their business' potential.

We host a wide range of events through the year to ensure we are adding value to our client base and broader network.

These range from the purely social Christmas drinks (a valuable networking event in itself) to in-depth panel discussions.

Recent events include:

  • 'CFO to CEO: A Listed journey' - Panel discussion with Andy Parker (ex-CEO, Capita) and David Sleath (CEO, SEGRO)

  • RPA Roundtable - Breakfast roundtable with Transformation Directors & representatives from RPA vendors on Robotic Process Automation

  • 'A Successful Management Buy-Out in the Midlands' - Panel discussion on the sale of marketing firm Inspired Thinking Group to Equistone

  • Annual 'Day Out' at the Nature Valley Classic Womens' tennis

In addition to Search, we offer a range of HR and Talent services that can either be implemented to complement your selection processes or as stand-alone services.

Psychometric profiling is an increasingly popular aspect of interview and selection processes.  It allows a hiring manager to predict whether or not a candidate would be aligned to a role and business in terms of motives and culture fit.  In addition to factoring profiling into selection processes, some of our clients have profiled their current staff to understand better the team they want to build.

When these tests are implemented, we treat them as advisory.  We strongly believe in 'the human factor' and that cultural fit is not an exact science.

We recommend using psychometric profiling at an early stage (usually after first interviews) to provide material for discussion at subsequent meetings.

Aptitude tests (verbal, non-verbal, mathematical reasoning etc.) are reliable indicators of what candidates are good at doing.

We have in-house expertise on the Saville Wave Assessment, and can provide consultation on the on-boarding, training and management of candidates who take the assessment.

At GRG Executive Search, our in-house Marketing team serves the additional function of being a resource for our clients.

This is a service most appropriate for SMEs or start-ups that haven't previously heavily invested in employer branding.

It is also a service that is a real value-add in a candidate-short space, such as software.

In the team are an excellent copywriter and accomplished videographer: they have the experience and resources to create impactful, engaging material for our clients' hiring campaigns.  The material is always produced in partnership with Consultant and Client.

To date, we have produced:

  • Attraction videos (e.g. interview with CEO)

  • Microsites for longer-term multi-hire campaigns

  • Candidate packs (including key financials, org charts, plans) - these are occasionally under NDA

  • Tim Young

Previously sceptical of the value of an external recruiter, GRG's utter professionalism and dedication has changed my view.  Not only did GRG headhunt the perfect candidate, but their involvement has continued post the candidate's acceptance of our offer. This has ensured a smooth bedding-in process, which has saved us both time and money.

  • Simon Harbridge

GRG Executive Search quickly grasped our strategic vision and how somebody could add value in a senior capacity. As well as providing a thorough overview of active and passive candidates, they identified great talent and advised on how it could be secured. The candidate turned up to interview well-prepared, which made for a good process, smooth on-boarding and a successful first few months.
