Due continued growth a Group Financial Controller is now required to join a growing business for an initial period of six months. This is a key leadership role responsible for ensuring robust financial governance, delivering accurate and timely group reporting, and driving consistency across finance operations.
Key Responsibilities
- Leading and enhancing the Group's financial control environment, ensuring strong governance and compliance.
- Leading on the group month end, quarter end and year end close processes, ensuring accuracy, rigour and delivery.
- Preparing the consolidated financial statements across multiple entities and jurisdictions.
- Providing technical accounting expertise, ensuring compliance with UK GAAP, IFRS and relevant accounting standards.
- Supporting acquisition activity, including financial integration, reporting alignment and post deal finance transformation.
- Maintaining and developing a consistent Chart of Accounts across the Group.
- Overseeing the statutory reporting, audits and compliance requirements, acting as the key point of contact for external auditors.
- Managing all corporate tax, VAT and other compliance obligations, ensuring accurate and timely submissions.
- Driving process improvement initiatives to strengthen controls, improve reporting quality and increase efficiency.
What we are looking for
- Qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent).
- Proven experience in a Group Financial Controller or senior financial control role.
- Strong technical accounting and consolidation expertise within a multi-entity environment.
- Experience supporting business integration's, acquisitions and finance transformation initiatives.
- Excellent understanding of tax, statutory reporting and regulatory compliance.
- Demonstrable track record of improving financial controls, processes and governance.
- Strong leadership, stakeholder management and communication skills.
